The 27-year-old Spaniard has been with City since 2019, when he signed from La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, and has become a stalwart for manager Pep Guardiola.
City sorely missed his presence in midfield recently as they lost all three games during his suspension for a red card he received last month.
Asked about whether he would consider joining the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez, and Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, he told Cadena Ser: "It is very difficult for me to be attracted to a challenge like Arabia because I have sporting ambitions."
Rodri did, however, keep the door open for a potential return to Spain in the future, adding: "Spain is my country and we'll see. I move a lot for sporting challenges; I want to win and I came here for that and I am very happy."
Rodri still has four years left on his contract with Manchester City, and appears fully committed to the Sky Blues for the foreseeable future.
