Spurs granted first-team coach Mason permission to speak with the Belgian Pro League club this week about potentially replacing Brian Riemer, who was dismissed on September 19.
However, on Thursday Anderlecht announced they had decided to permanently hire interim boss David Hubert and Mason will therefore stay part of Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff at Tottenham.
Reportedly, after initial discussions between Mason and Anderlecht officials, both parties mutually decided it was not the right time for either of them to press forward with further talks over the managerial vacancy.
Once-capped England international Mason holds huge respect for Anderlecht following their approach earlier this month, but the 33-year-old has thoroughly enjoyed being part of Postecoglou's project at Tottenham over the past 16 months.
Mason, who progressed through the Spurs academy, has worked as a coach at the Premier League club since 2018 after he retired from playing at the age of 26 following a fracture to his skull in a game for Hull at Chelsea a year earlier.
