SABC Sport x Bundesliga competition winner off to Germany for league match

Mixon also won a hamper from both the Bundesliga & SABC Sport, an RB Leipzig home jersey, including merchandise from SABC.

Mixon says he’s beyond excited to experience the Bundesliga for the first time.

“I’m absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful to have won this prize! As a football fan, the chance to experience a top Bundesliga clash like RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich in person is a dream come true. It's an unforgettable opportunity,” Mixon said.

Mixon will also get an opportunity to do a stadium tour and experience the German culture, from the football atmosphere to German food, something he says he’s most thrilled about.

“I’m most looking forward to soaking in the electric atmosphere of the stadium and seeing world-class players perform at the highest level. The intensity, the passion of the fans, and the quality of football on display—there’s nothing quite like it. I’m also excited to explore Leipzig and experience the German culture up close,” he added.

Bundesliga regional manager Sundesh Mahes says this competition was part of SABC Sport’s plan to reach the country's Bundesliga fans.

“The competition was part of SABC Sport’s strategy to engage with fans of the Bundesliga and give a loyal SABC audience member an experience with the Bundesliga. The Bundesliga team partnered with the SABC on this occasion,” Mahes said

“The winner has already received an SABC and Bundesliga Hamper and jersey of the home team Redbull Leipzig. Julian will receive a full-on Bundesliga experience with a Stadium tour and a weekend filled with true German cultural experience.

The winner will jet off to Germany this weekend, and the trip is fully paid by both the SABC and the Bundesliga.
