Samuel Rak-Sakyi shines in Chelsea's European triumph

Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Rak-Sakyi made his Chelsea debut as a second-half substitute in their 8-0 Europa Conference League win over FC Noah on Thursday.

Chelsea showcased their attacking firepower with goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Axel Disasi, and two goals apiece from Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku, while Mykhailo Mudryk also found the net in a one-sided clash at Stamford Bridge.

Manager Enzo Maresca brought on the 19-year-old Rak-Sakyi to gain valuable minutes in a match that had already been comfortably sealed by Chelsea's attacking prowess.

Rak-Sakyi, who joined Chelsea's academy at the age of eight, is the younger brother of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, currently on loan at Sheffield United from Crystal Palace.

His journey through Chelsea's youth system has been marked by dedication and resilience, particularly after a lengthy injury layoff last season.

Under U21 coach Filipe Coelho, Rak-Sakyi returned to form in Chelsea's youth ranks, notably scoring in a 4-0 win over Anderlecht in the Premier League International Cup.

His progress with Chelsea's U21s earned him a contract extension until 2026, reflecting the club's belief in his potential.

Now with a senior appearance under his belt, Rak-Sakyi's future remains bright.

Eligible to represent either England or Ghana, he has promising options for his international career, making him one to watch for fans and scouts alike.
