Sead Ramovic fully backs new TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic

Former TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has encouraged his successor Adnan Beganovic to return The Rockets to its rightful place in South African football.

The Serbian shocked the football fraternity when he resigned on live television earlier this month, following a string of unsatisfactory results in the Betway Premiership, MTN8 and Carling Knockout.

Ramovic has since been appointed the new head coach at Tanzanian champions Young Africans, and praised his former assistant for his loyalty and respect.

I can only say beautiful things about Adnan – he was a loyal guy until now, and you know that I didn't go to Raja [Athletic Club] because they wanted me to come alone," said Ramovic.

"So I always said that it was not a loss not to go there, it was actually a win for my values, principles and loyalty, and now people will say, "Look, you didn't go because of them, but now he stays when you've left.'

"But it's not like this because he asked me if this was okay with me, if not, he would not stay."

Beganovic, like Ramovic, also holds a UEFA Pro License and is now tasked with getting Galaxy out of the Betway Premiership relegation zone – a job the former head coach believes his successor should be able to execute.

"So my advice to him was, 'Listen, you've worked your whole life, you have the highest education, you're getting this beautiful opportunity, especially in this amazing club with this top human being as chairman that you will not find at many clubs in South Africa,'" he shared.

"'So I wish you all the best and I'm sure you will do a better job than I did because you have the energy levels and everything. I wish you can do it, and I will be the most happy guy.'

"His success will be my success, so if I have a small part of the things that he has learnt from me, I will be very happy that he can improve the club because it's not about me, it's not about him, it's about the club."
