Seema clarifies Sekhukhune United coaching roles further

Following his return to Sekhukhune United as head coach last week, Lehlohonolo Seema has insisted he will have the final say on all tactical matters with sporting director McDonald Makhubedu now his boss.

Seema got his job back after Peter Hyballa was forced to resign due to “misconduct” before even taking charge of a single official game.

The club also hired Kaitano Tembo, but speaking on Metro FM, Seema clarified the coaching roles even further.

''Let me help you guys quickly, it is an easy one. The dynamic, we are all coaches, we are going to work together, but I am the head coach - the buck stops with me, I am the one who is accountable for everything concerning the first team. We have coach Paulus Masehe he will be my assistant with coach Kaitano, and coach Makhubedu will be the Sporting Director, what is nice is that he has been in our shoes and he will make sure that he engages with the management to make sure that things work properly for us,'' said Seema.

Seema also revealed that he requested that Tembo, a former Sekhukhune, SuperSport United and Richards Bay coach, join Babina Noko.

''I can tell you that coach Kaitano, it is me who called him, there were few coaches who could have came here but I chose coach Kaitano. I told them that I have not worked with him but I have admired his work from afar. He is a humble coach and I think we will work well together,'' added Seema.

With his contract duration for three years, Seema believes this will give him ample time to challenge for the league title.

''I think that three years is enough, I think by the end of my contract I should be contending for the league, and I think by that time the players we have acquired now would have gelled and played together,'' he concluded.

Seema said it was a plus that some of the new players were already part of the list he’d put forward prior to his abrupt departure in April due to a disagreement with management.
