Having won the away leg 4-1 in Algeria, Masandawana came from behind to complete a 2-1 success at home thanks to goals from Themba Zwane and Thapelo Morena.
The visitors, knowing they had to make a strong start considering the deficit, took the lead after 24 minutes when captain Sofiane Bouchar headed in Youcef Laouafi's corner.
Sundowns hit back though and equalised on the stroke of halftime when Zwane played a neat one-two with Morena before the Bafana attacking midfielder finished with aplomb.
The hosts then completed the recovery four minutes after interval when Morena was on the end of Khuliso Mudau's cross to finish into an empty net.
The tie was effectively put beyond doubt as soon as the second goal from Sundowns went in with the Algerians just playing to keep the score down from then on.
The South African champions had few more opportunities to add to their tally but fluffed their lines in front of goal.
Sundowns now have a semifinal date with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca who beat Tanzanian outfit Simba in their quarterfinals.
