Bradley Grobler's swift combination with Terrence Dzvukamanja saw the home side take the lead just two minutes into the game.
Despite dominating possession in the first half, Kaizer Chiefs couldn't convert their chances into goals. Ashley Du Preez and Christian Saile both had opportunities, but they failed to find the net. Zitha Kwinika's shot in the 26th minute went over the bar.

Bezuidenhout had a golden opportunity to seal the victory for SuperSport United in the 74th minute, but Khune made a crucial save. In the final moments of the match, both sides had chances, but the score remained 1-0.
This result lifted SuperSport United to third place on the league table with 13 points from six matches, while Kaizer Chiefs remained in eighth place with the same point tally from seven games. Kaizer Chiefs are now winless in two consecutive league matches, earning only one point in those outings.
