Thomas Muller's Bayern Munich future in doubt

Thomas Muller's Bayern Munich future in doubt

Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller may be nearing the end of his illustrious career, with the club unlikely to offer him a new contract before the season concludes.

According to Sky Germany, the 35-year-old's current deal at the Allianz Arena is set to expire next summer, and Bayern are not prioritising negotiations over an extension.

Muller, who recently became Bayern's all-time appearance holder, has been a pivotal figure in the club's dominance over the last decade.

However, sources suggest that Bayern believe his playing days are winding down.

The veteran forward could potentially announce his retirement at the end of the season, after already calling time on his international career following Euro 2024.

While earlier reports indicated that both Muller and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer were in line for contract renewals, it now appears that Neuer will be the only one to receive an extension. Muller's future, on the other hand, remains uncertain.

As fans speculate whether Muller will decide to hang up his boots, his legacy at Bayern Munich is undeniable, with 11 Bundesliga titles, two Champions League trophies, and countless memorable moments.
