TS Galaxy clash not about revenge says Downs coach

Downs coach Rulani Mokwena was asked about the trip to Mpumalanga on Tuesday against one of only two sides to beat them in the DStv Premiership this season following their narrow 1-0 win over Amakhosi on Saturday night. He complimented Galaxy.

"I watched them yesterday and you can see why they beat us. After tomorrow we will know exactly what to do. We are not motivated by revenge, we are motivated by trying to win every single match. That's what we'll try to do when we go to Mpumalanga," Mokwena said.

Galaxy got the better of Sundowns in only their second match of the season back in August, but since then The Rockets have struggled. 

With Downs top of the table, Galaxy lost to Cape Town City on Friday and the victory over the Brazilians is one of just three for them in 17 games.

"They're a very difficult team but the focus now is how we recover. Get good hydration for the players. Try to make sure that we do some region work and also flush this game out of our system and speak about it. That's the immediate focus before we go into TS Galaxy side," he added.

Sead Ramovic, the coach of Galaxy, will find a Sundowns side currently enjoying an incredible 12 successive wins record. 

What will be even more frightening is that Mokwena says there’s more to come.

"I speak from a coaching perspective when I say we have to improve. We have to get better. Even if we win 15 in a row, we still have to get better. There's no ceiling so we have to think about that and know that. We will work hard to always improve and get better. Keep trying to make our supporters happy and play the kind of football that will make everyone happy," he concluded.
