Brought to Old Trafford by José Mourinho in 2017, Lindelof has enjoyed a solid career with the Red Devils, making 273 appearances across all competitions.
During his time at Manchester United, he has contributed 4 goals and 7 assists, playing a crucial role in the team's defensive line.
However, recent seasons have seen Lindelof struggle to maintain a consistent spot in the starting XI.
A combination of injuries and dip in form has seen the 29-year-old lose his place, with his most recent absence from the pitch stretching from December 2023 to January 2025.
In total, Lindelof has missed 37 games for both United and the Swedish national team due to four separate injury spells.
"It has been extremely difficult," said Lindelof, as quoted by Daily Mail.
"I'm used to playing a lot of matches and not being able to do it continuously has been tough. It takes a toll on the psyche to do all the rehab, which is not very fun."
Before joining United, Lindelof made a name for himself at Benfica, where he was known for his composure on the ball and solid defensive performances.
Yet, despite a promising start in Manchester, his time at the club may now be coming to an end unless he can regain his fitness and form before the summer transfer window.
