With a 3-0 lead from the first leg, the German champions are determined to finish the job.
Speaking at Bayern Munich's pre-match press conference, Kompany outlined his expectations for the encounter. "We need to focus on the duels we want to win and the goals we want to score," he said.
"The players' quality will settle it, but we'll have a big say in how this plays out. At Bayern, the mentality is simple, you always want to win."
The 38-year-old Belgian, unfazed by the pressure of leading one of Europe's elite clubs, added, "We're here for the result that takes us through. Every game we play, we approach with one goal: victory."
Kompany also touched on Leverkusen's injury blow, with star man Florian Wirtz sidelined. "It's a real pity for him," he said, before shifting focus to Bayern's own talent, Michael Olise. "He's got that special mix, dangerous out wide, but with the skills to play centrally too. That's huge for us moving forward."
Reflecting on past meetings with Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, including a tight 0-0 draw in Bundesliga Matchday 22, Kompany noted, "When a team forces us to defend, we do it. But our aim is to stick to what's worked for us. Tomorrow (Tuesday) won't be dull, expect plenty of action."
Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka also weighed in during the press conference, underlining the team's confidence. "The 3-0 lead is an advantage, no doubt," he said. "But we've played Leverkusen four times already this season, and every game has been close.
"We're not resting on that first-leg score, we want to win and show our best."
The 30-year-old German, who has fought his way back into the starting lineup after a tough start to the season, addressed his contract situation, set to expire in 2026. "I'm not focused on that now," Goretzka said. "We've got big tasks ahead, starting with tomorrow."
He also offered support to Leverkusen's Wirtz, adding, "I wish Flo a quick recovery. It's a shame for him and his team, but they've still got quality, we won't change our approach."
Goretzka praised his bond with Kompany, saying, "The coach has been great with me from day one. I always felt valued, and he's been straight with me. That trust has paid off - I'm playing more now, and it feels good."
Recent updates from Bayern Munich's official X account confirm the squad's arrival in Leverkusen, with Kompany and Goretzka spotted in high spirits ahead of the clash. The club posted, "Ready for the fight. #FCBayern #UCL," signaling their intent to secure a quarter-final spot.
With both teams known for their attacking flair, this second-leg tie promises fireworks as Bayern aim to bury Leverkusen's Champions League hopes once and for all.
