The Bedfordview outfit will be out to chase a much needed win, coming back from a 0-0 draw against the University of Pretoria last Sunday.
Nyandeni says they will be stepping into a new territory, playing at Fort Hare’s home stadium for the first time this afternoon and as a team they do anticipate a difficult match.
“We are playing away and we will be experiencing this stadium for the first time - which will make this encounter a bit difficult. We honestly don’t undermine Fort Hare FC despite them being newcomers in the league,’’ said Nyandeni.
Coach Mitchell Stevens’ side has not been consistent in the first quarter of the Hollywoodbets Super League, having secured a single win in five matches and drawing four. The team will rely on Nyandeni’s experience since her significant return.
The 36-year-old played her first game back in JVW’s colours in March and immediately registered her name on the score sheet in their 5-1 win over Fort Hare FC at the UJ Stadium.
“I like that we have experience playing against this team, and we know what to expect. I remember I scored against them in my game for JVW since my return. We are looking forward to playing at their home ground - which I believe might give us a slight challenge,’’ added Nyandeni.
The Bedfordview outfit is seventh on the Super League log with 23 points, just one point behind KZN’s Royal AM.
