World Netball has launched an investigation over allegations levelled against Molokwane, who was officially called to step down from her duties as NSA president while they probe serious allegations of misconduct.
It is alleged that Molokwane misused NSA funds for her own personal gain in relation to events leading up to and during the 2023 Netball World Cup held in Cape Town.
Furthermore, the investigation will also look into her alleged "consistent bullying and harassing of NSA staff and board members, when questioned over her use of Netball South Africa funds."
In a letter dated 16 April 2025, World Netball informed the Africa Netball board of the claims against Molokwane, who is also president of the continental body.
They responded that Molokwane’s suspension is unwarranted and demanded it should be lifted until proper procedures are followed to determine if she has a case to answer to or not.
In correspondence seen by the public broadcaster, their response letter cited several demands, including that Molokwane’s suspension be lifted with immediate effect, and that the Africa Netball board be provided with clear details of the allegations.
They further believe World Netball's recognition of the continental body ought to allow them to run the affairs of netball in the region, while also requesting that they be afforded an opportunity to engage with the NSA board to carry out their own investigations.
SABC Sport can confirm that the NSA executive has been summoned to appear before Parliament on Tuesday to shed light over the current state of affairs within the federation.
