Lehlohonolo Seema to do things the Sekhukhune way

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has offered a different perspective on how the plans to adjust to life at the club.

Asked whether the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) break will give him ample time to implement his methodology, the newly appointed mentor explained that he intends to instead learn the Babina Noko way.

"I must adapt to Sekhukhune, not them adapting to me. We are working here together, and there are a lot of positives that we can say come next year we would've worked on a lot of aspects. And I'm sure this team will look different," he told SABC Sport.

Seema added he is not yet thinking about the lengthy recess forced on the Premier Soccer League (PSL)  by the continental competition in Ivory Coast from mid-January until early February. He would first like to get the remaining fixtures this month out of the way.

"The games are not over, we still have to go to Mali next week. We still need to play two or three league games. So, before we can even think about a break, we still need to fight and make sure that we survive, and go to the break in a good position in both competitions. It's not going to be easy, but we're up for it."

His arrival at Sekhukhune has been a baptism of fire as Seema has already been in charge of four matches in less than a month.

Babina Noko face AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium tonight to pick up league points.

"It's been very difficult. The players have been very cooperative and patient with us while we're asking a lot from them."

Fresh from their goalless draw in the CAF Confederation Cup against Stade Malien in Polokwane on Sunday, the coach will recall the regulars he rested.
