It’s the second time in three years the two MMA athletes face off, with Chipfumbu having one up on Jacobs in the hexagon – hence his nemesis is back to try and even the score.
Speaking to SABC Sport ahead of fight night, Chipfumbu insists he is in better form.
"I'm in the best shape of my life and I think I'm getting to the prime of my career, so I just can't wait to showcase and prove, once again, why I'm the best bantamweight in the organisation," said Chipfumbu.
"Firstly, I expect him to bring his A-game, which he always does, because I want to beat the best guys; I want to beat guys in their prime and with their top performances, just to prove that I'm the best bantamweight [fighter]."
Although confident, Chipfumbu is not undermining Jacobs.
"I'm expecting him to be well rounded, to be improved, to be well polished – his wrestling, his grappling, his striking, and I'm expecting the best version of Faeez," he added.
"But make no mistake, I fear nothing. I'm here to stay, I believe I'm still in the top of the food chain, and ja, I'm here to stay."
