The World Cup winner has been plying his trade with Toyota Verblitz in Japan for the last four years. The Toyota-based franchise just missed out on the Japan League One semi-finals this season, finishing sixth on the table.
Following their final match this past weekend, le Roux took to Twitter to thank his teammates but stopped short of announcing his departure from the Land of the Rising Sun.
"I'd like to thank the staff and my teammates for an epic 4 years and, to our wonderful fans for always being so supportive," he wrote in a post on Tuesday.
"I appreciate the opportunity to have represented such a great team, Arigato @toyotaverblitz."Le Roux featured for the Cheetahs and Sharks before a two-year stint at Wasps in the lead-up to success at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Looking toward the future, there should be options aplenty for the 33-year-old, who has been in scintillating form for the Green and Gold of late.
