It’s understood the 23-year-old put pen to paper recently and was thrust into the spotlight this season when coach Gavin Hunt brought him on in the win over Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night.
Moralo replaced Phathutshedzo Nange at the start of the second half in what was his first appearance this season.
“It was exciting to see him feature in such a big fixture, and to be honest he is deserving of an opportunity like this. I can confirm that we have indeed recently agreed to a three-year deal for Gape,” said Basia Michaels.
“There’s no doubt in my mind he will continue to grow, especially at a club that believes in players from the academy and a coach that isn’t afraid to call on them in the big league games like Chiefs.”
Moralo made his SuperSport debut in August 2020 under then coach Kaitano Tembo, even though it was a one-minute cameo that might even be a blurry moment – once again in a notable clash against Orlando Pirates.
The midfielder has made a total of five appearances for the club and the 45 minutes he got earlier this week was his longest on the pitch, suggesting that Hunt is then likely to hand him more first team matches in future.
He has joined a long list of SuperSport players coming from the youth academy and has a strong foundation from the famous School of Excellence.
In July, the club promoted defender Ime Okon and winger Shandre Cambell, two teenagers who were part of the squad that won the Diski Challenge last season, and both have already featured prominently.
“I think we can expect a lot from Gape, he is in good hands at SuperSport and this new deal is only the start of something special,” added Michaels.
