Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports has revealed that the 26-year-old Japanese international has caught the eye of both Spanish clubs and is said to be considering a move to La Liga.
While Kamada has shown no interest in renewing his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, his destination had previously been rumoured to be Borussia Dortmund, one of the club's Bundesliga rivals. However, it appears he is now favouring a move to Spain instead.
Atletico are said to be in the market for a new midfielder in the summer, with several players potentially leaving the La Liga club. Saul Niguez, Thomas Lemar, and Geoffrey Kondogbia are all rumoured to be leaving, which means that Los Rojiblancos will need to bring in reinforcements.
Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos was previously linked with a move to Atletico, but he has reportedly turned down the approach. As a result, Kamada has emerged as an interesting alternative for the Spanish side. Kamada has had an outstanding season at Eintracht, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists from midfield.
However, Barcelona could prove to be a challenge for Atletico, as the Catalan club is also monitoring Kamada's situation in Germany. With the two Spanish giants battling for his signature, Kamada will have a tough decision to make in the summer.
