Among those sidelined is Danish centre-back Andreas Christensen, who has been out of action since August due to Achilles tendonitis.
While initial estimates suggested a 2-3 month recovery timeline, Christensen has yet to rejoin team training.
However, he has been working out on the grass, and a return to training with his teammates is now anticipated in December.
The club's defensive line has had to rely heavily on Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez, with Eric Garcia also facing injury setbacks this season.
Fortunately, Ronald Araujo is expected to return in the coming weeks, bolstering Barcelona's defensive ranks.
In preparation for these reintegrations, Barcelona's coaching staff, with input from Hansi Flick, are focused on aligning returning players with the team's tactical framework.
Emphasis is being placed on the coordinated offside trap, a critical component of Barcelona's defensive strategy.
As Christensen continues his recovery, the club remains cautious. Although his progress is encouraging, he is not expected back before the end of November.
With Christensen's anticipated December return, Barcelona's defensive options could finally see the stability needed for the latter stages of the season.
