Barcelona's legal play for Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Barcelona's legal play for Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Barcelona have taken their case to court, seeking interim measures to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor for the January transfer window.

The club believe that while disputes with La Liga regarding these registrations are ongoing, both players should be allowed to play.

Previously, Barcelona employed a similar legal tactic with Gavi, who is currently playing under a provisional ruling as the case remains unresolved in the courts.

No final hearing date has been set for Gavi's registration issue.

In parallel, Barcelona have opened another legal front to ensure that Olmo and Pau Víctor can participate without delay.

The clubs had anticipated that the new sponsorship deal with Nike would provide enough financial leeway under La Liga's Fair Play rules to register the players.

However, La Liga has indicated that the conditions for registration have not yet been met.

The judge, who previously granted the provisional measure in Gavi's case, will hear arguments from both sides in the coming days.

A decision is expected on Friday, which will determine if Olmo and Pau Víctor can be registered.

Should the ruling go against Barcelona, the club are already exploring alternative solutions.
