Bayern Munich unlikely to sign Chelsea's Mason Mount due to financial constraints

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

Among them is Mason Mount, who has been strongly linked with a move to Bavaria. However, it seems unlikely that Bayern will make a move for the English midfielder due to financial constraints and an already well-stocked midfield.

According to The Guardian, Mount is interested in working with Tuchel at Bayern. However, it remains to be seen how concrete Die Roten™s interest is in the player. Tuchel is yet to discuss transfer plans with Bayern as he firmly focuses on ending the season strongly.

Bayern will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Juventus for Mount. However, it seems unlikely that Bayern will be able to afford the transfer fee that Chelsea is reportedly seeking for the player. The Blues are hoping to get £50 million for Mount in the summer, despite his contract expiring at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Furthermore, Bayern already have an ample amount of depth in the number eight and ten roles. Unless there is a big departure in this area during the summer window, signing Mount will not make sense for the record Bundesliga champions.

Bayern have already strengthened their midfield department for next season by reportedly completing a deal for Konrad Laimer, who will join on a free transfer once his contract at RB Leipzig expires in June. Tuchel will also have the decision to make on Marcel Sabitzer when he returns from his loan spell at Manchester United.

It is important to note that Chelsea also remains hopeful about agreeing to a new deal with Mount. They will have to reluctantly sell him if there is no agreement for a new deal before the end of the season. It remains to be seen where Mason Mount will end up next season, but it seems unlikely that it will be at Bayern Munich.
