USM Alger 2-1 SuperSport United
SuperSport United ended their CAF Confederation Cup run with a 2-1 loss to Group A winners USM Alger.
Matsatsantsa were already eliminated from the competition following their 1-1 draw with Modern Future on match-day five and never really looked like winning this one either as they ultimately ended bottom of the pile with just four points.
Abderrahmane Bacha opened the scoring for Alger at the Stade du 5 Juillet after 26 minutes and SuperSport did manage to get back on level terms when Tendamudzimu Matodzi netted with 51 minutes played.
But the Algerian were back on top when Abdoulaye Kanu hit the target with 76 minutes, and they comfortably held on for all three points, despite going down to ten me for the final few minutes as Zineddine Belaid saw red for a second yellow card.
The result saw the hosts claim top spot in the group with 13 points, while Modern Future took second place on 11 points, and Al Hilal Benghazi ended third with six points.
Diables Noirs 0-0 Sekhukhune United
Sekhukhune United held Diables Noirs to a goalless draw in their final Group D clash, at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat on Sunday.
Also already eliminated from progressing to the knockout rounds, Sekhukhune United were playing for pride after a disappointing campaign.
Just one win, two draws and two losses from five previous CAF Confederation Cup outings prior to this match left the club in third place; and that is where they ended up following their lastest result.
Only Noirs ended up worse off, in fourth spot with just two points.
RSB Berkane topped the group with 11 points, closely followed by Stade Malien in second.
