Both SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United tasted defeat on the opening day of their respective CAF Confederation Cup group campaigns.
Modern Future 1-0 SuperSport United
SuperSport United suffered a 1-0 loss to Egyptian side Modern Future in their first CAF Confederation Group A clash at the Al-Salam Stadium Cairo on Sunday.
Ghanam Mohamed scored the only goal of the game in the 76th minute of the tie.
The result leaves Matsatsantsa bottom of the group, behind leaders Modern Future, and Al Hilal Benghazi.
RSB Berkane 2-0 Sekhukhune United
Sekhukhune United went down 2-0 to Moroccan side RSB Berkane in their Group D clash.
Adil Tahif was on target on 14 minutes at the Stade Municipal de Berkane ahead of an 86th minute effort from Youssef El Fahli.
Sekhukhune are bottom of their group, with Stade Malien top, following by Berkane, and Diable Noirs.
