Ghana's Otto Addo urges caution ahead of crucial Sudan clash

Ghana's Black Stars coach Otto Addo has urged fans to manage expectations ahead of their crucial 2025 AFCON qualifier against Sudan on October 14, set to take place in Libya.

Following Thursday's 0-0 draw against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium, Addo made it clear that while the team would give their all, victory is not guaranteed.

"This is football. I can't guarantee anything, not even my life. Maybe God will take it tomorrow.

"We will try our best, and I believe we will be rewarded in the end," Addo remarked during a post-match press conference.

The Black Stars have struggled in their 2025 AFCON qualification campaign, sitting third in Group F with just two points from three matches.

Sudan, with four points after the draw, have gained an advantage, leaving Ghana in a challenging position.

Despite this, Addo remained optimistic about the road ahead, saying, "It's still in our hands. We must win the next game, but even that might not be enough."

Ghana face a tough battle in Libya, knowing that failure to secure all three points could severely harm their chances of qualifying for the tournament in Morocco.
