The Capetonian, who was formerly on the books of Badgers FC in the Sasol League, made waves when she featured for Banyana at last year’s COSAFA Women’s Championships in Gqeberha, where she also netted a stunning free-kick.
UCT won the signature of the 2024 COSAFA Women’s Championship Goalkeeper of the Tournament after beating off advances of champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, University of the Western Cape (UWC) and University of Johannesburg (UJ).
Just recently, Williams spent about a month training at Bristol City Women’s FC, who campaign in the English second-tier FA Women’s Championship.
She was there through links with Badgers FC founding director and former SAFA Head of Women’s Football Romaney Pinnock, who has since taken up the same role at the English side.
The 24-year-old is currently recovering from an injury which forced her to withdraw from the current Banyana camp for two international friendly matches against Lesotho.
It remains unclear if she will be ready for the opening match of the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League season when they travel to Johannesburg for a date with UJ Ladies this Sunday.
Williams has previously also played for Cape Town Spurs and Vasco da Gama in Cape Town, as well as TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies in Pretoria, before returning home to join Badgers FC.
