The 24-year-old has expressed her excitement at starting a new chapter as she looks to build on her impressive career thus far,
"I am excited to have signed with Glasgow City. I am looking forward to new experiences and new adventures here and I look to develop further. I can’t wait to get this chapter started," Motlhalo told the club's website.
She is the second South African to join Glasgow after former Banyana Banyana captain Janine van Wyk, who turned out for the Scottish side in 2020 and 2021.
The club's interim head coach Leanne Ross added: "I am excited to announce the signing of Linda Motlhalo here at Glasgow City.
"Linda arrives with a wealth of experience on her cv from her time in some of the top leagues in the world and her impressive international career with South Africa.
"I have no doubt a player of Linda's experience and technical ability will enhance our already talented squad, she is an exciting attacking talent who I am very much looking forward to working with."
It has also been confirmed that Motlhalo is in line to make her debut this weekend when Glasgow take on city rivals and defending champions Rangers at Broadwood Stadium.
The former Houston Dash attacker will be hoping to hit the ground running as she looks to retain her place in coach Desiree Ellis' Banyana side leading up to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia/New Zealand at the end of the 2022/23 season.
