The newcomers, who were promoted from the Sasol League at the end of last season, have found the going a lot tougher than expected in the South African elite women’s league.
The Durban outfit is currently second from bottom with just four points after 13 games – with just one win, one draw and 11 defeats, and Vilakazi is now eagerly waiting for the transfer window to open.
"I think we need to get some experienced players – players who have played here [in the Hollywoodbest Super League] because you can see in some instances, we need to cool the game down, but we are still rushing," bemoaned Vilakazi.
"Even if the opponents are playing in their own half, they are trying to press the opponent, so I think it's a lack of experience and I need to get two or three players who have played in the HSL, and from there I will gel them with our youngsters.
"So, I'm waiting for the [transfer] window to open and then I'll see what I can do."
Vilakazi attributed their current woes to their first match in the Hollywoodbets Super League, in which they beat Thunderbirds 3-0, that gave them a false sense of reality. Since then, things have gone pear-shaped.
"If I may say, our first game gave us the wrong impression about the Hollywoodbets Super League – that game was an easy game, we should have even scored more goals, but it happened the way it happened," he added.
"But what I noticed after that game, everyone was walking like, 'Ah, we're going to beat them.' I told them, this is a different ball game, and a different league, so you can't be taking it like that.
"But since they are kids, for them, getting beaten is not something they are used to, so now it's like, 'What's happening now?' They never took HSL seriously, and now they can see we are in a serious league."
