But The Brazilians should not panic – their long-serving mentor has told SABC Sport he is not in a hurry to pack up and go.
Tshabalala could heighten the interest should he add the Hollywoodbets Super League title to the COSAFA Cup and CAF Champions League titles already secured this month, but, as things stand, he wants to see out his Downs project.
"Look, Mazola, I won't say I get tempted. I'm happy at Mamelodi Sundowns, honestly speaking, I'm very, very happy at Mamelodi Sundowns," insisted Tshabalala.
"The manner in which the management's been taking care of me, I'm very [happy], but there are a lot of offers coming from the continent, even a few national teams."
Any chances of coaching his native country in Banyana Banyana are highly unlikely, given the SAFA policy on women’s national sides having female head coaches, so this opens the doors beyond the SA borders.
Tshabalala, without revealing his suitors, says he has been contacted.
"They are knocking on the door and saying, 'Coach, can you come?' But, at the moment, my heart is still at Sundowns. I haven't achieved what I want to achieve with Mamelodi Sundowns, so I still want to achieve more with the club," he added.
The Sundowns coach has also been nominated for the CAF Coach of the Year award in the women’s category, alongside his Banyana counterpart Desiree Ellis.
Tshabalala believes this is his work being recognised.
"It's an honour to just be nominated, and when you look back to 2021 – it's still more or less the same coaches that I'm competing with," he noted.
"Actually, just to be in the top five [coaches in Africa], for me, it shows a lot, that whatever work I'm putting in is being recognised, and I'm really excited just to be a nominee.
"Whether I win or I don't win, the nomination alone means I've already won a lot of people's hearts for me just to be there."
