The highly skilled 27-year-old midfielder claimed top honours and a prize purse of R50 000 in recognition of her outstanding contributions.
Rabale played a pivotal role in Sundowns clinching their third consecutive league title, earning them a substantial R2 million in prize money.
The Sundowns team achieved a remarkable triple by also securing the league title, the COSAFA Region Champions League qualifiers trophy, and the CAF Champions League.
Following her triumphant achievements, Rabale expressed her gratitude, dedicating the awards to the people of Basotho in the mountain kingdoms.
As she anticipates a hero’s welcome in Maseru, Rabale shared her sentiments with SABC Sport, emphasizing the significance of the accolades in her heart.
“I am thrilled to have clinched this award. While there are numerous deserving players, the honour is now mine, and I am elated to bring it to Lesotho, aiming to spread joy among my people. My aspiration was not only the top scorer award but also to secure both accolades. Reflecting on an outstanding season, I take pride in my achievements, having garnered several Player of the Match awards. As a team, we achieved everything we set our hearts on, clinching three trophies in a single year. The competition was fierce, and every game presented its challenges, making our victories all the more gratifying,” Rabale said.
Rabale expressed that women’s football in Lesotho is currently not flourishing, and she desires to witness an increased participation of Basotho players in the Super League in South Africa.
“We look forward to the day when other teams from South Africa will join us in our African adventure. To Basotho players, I encourage you to join me in South Africa. I’ve demonstrated that anything is possible, Hailing from Maseru, I grew up there, playing football with the boys,” Rabale added.
