The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has solidified his future with La Real after signing a contract extension in January, amidst interest from Barcelona and rumoured interest from Arsenal.
With the extension, La Real are determined to keep Zubimendi as one of the top defensive midfielders in La Liga until 2027.
The young star's skill-set is highly sought after, as he boasts a blend of excellent passing and consistent defensive play.
According to data gathered by Squawka, Zubimendi tops the list of aerial duels won among 199 European football midfielders. Since 2018/19, he has won 71.1% of aerial duels, outperforming clubmate Mikel Merino and Spanish teammate Rodri.
Zubimendi joined La Real's youth structure in July 2016 and quickly rose through the ranks, making his La Liga debut in September 2020.
With his talent and continued success, it's no surprise that top clubs are targeting him. But La Real is determined to keep their rising star in San Sebastian.
