Mitchell Stevens is expecting a high pressing clash against First Touch

JVW coach Mitchell Stevens says he is expecting a high-pressing match in their Hollywoodbets Super League clash against First Touch FC Ladies at UJ Stadium on Saturday.

With only four matches left for JVW, coach Stevens believes there is no room for dropping points.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Stevens says he is expecting a tough encounter against the energetic Limpopo side but believes they will do all it takes to collect maximum points at home.

"Saturday game is a very tough encounter, I watched them in the game before us this weekend and they're full of energy. They're in a bit of a high they run hard, they work hard, and they like to go man and to man,” Stevens said.

“They've got high pressers so they're gonna make it very, very difficult for us because as far as I'm concerned, against TUKS, they won the second half. So, I think that tells a lot and they're gonna be very, very encouraged by our result from the weekend."

The Bedfordview outfit is likely to come into this clash without key player Gabriela Salgado, who suffered an injury against TUT Matsatsantsa last weekend.

Stevens says tomorrow’s fixture will stretch the team knowing that there’s high chances they might miss out on Salgado.

"Gabby is fine, it's a concussion so she's gonna be out of action for the whole of this week so I doubt that she'll be involved with this game. Which affects me massively because Gabby will out, Mpumi [Nompumelelo Nyandeni] might not be back yet from that contact, ankle injury and Robyn [Moodaly] is also out with her groin. So, all my big hitters are out."
