Mohamed Salah: This season is my best at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah believes this season is his finest yet at Liverpool, as he continues to lead the charge for goals and assists in the Premier League.

In Sunday's 2-0 victory over Manchester City, Salah scored and provided an assist, becoming the first player across Europe's top five leagues to exceed 50 goal contributions, with 30 goals and 21 assists in all competitions so far this season.

The Egypt international's outstanding form has helped Liverpool establish an 11-point lead at the top of the Premier League, while also putting him in contention for this year's Ballon d'Or.

"I believe this is my best season," Salah shared with TNT Sports. "I think so far it is my best season because I'm making the players around me better - that's how I feel."

Salah explained further: "I know their games, and all the numbers for everyone are higher than in other seasons. Plus, my assists are up, which means I'm helping them a lot. If you look at players like Cody (Gakpo), Lucho (Diaz), and others, their seasons have improved, and I believe it's my best season because I make those around me better."

Alongside Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah's contract expires at the end of the season. While there's an expectation that he'll sign a new deal at Anfield, the 32-year-old has been tight-lipped about the ongoing talks.

When asked about any contract updates, Salah replied: "In a very polite way, no."

When questioned about how he wants to be remembered at Liverpool, the forward said: "I want the fans to remember that I gave everything for them, I gave everything for the city. I was here, I wasn't lazy, I just enjoyed playing football and gave it my all."

"I think that's what the city is all about - they show you love, and you create a bond with them because you give your all. I just want them to remember that I was here for eight years and gave everything."
