Atletico Madrid's Nahuel Molina believes his move from Serie A side Udinese to Atletico Madrid has been a key factor in his improved form this season.
The Argentinian defender, who initially struggled to adapt to life under Diego Simeone, has become a crucial part of Atletico's squad in 2023.
In a recent interview with Luzu TV, Molina said: "Change is hard. I was in Udine, a cold city in northern Italy. And coming here to Madrid has changed me for the better.
"Atletico is a very important club. Here are a lot of things to do. The language helps and I see my family when they can travel or I can go there."
Molina also acknowledged that he was not a fan of the daily grind of training and fitness work. "What I like the most is playing football. It is what I have always liked, what I enjoy. What I don't like is the routine, training every day, that kills me," he said.
Despite this, the 25-year-old has adapted to Atletico's intense training regime, and is quickly becoming a popular figure at the Civitas Metropolitano.
Molina's improved form has been one of the reasons for Atletico's success this season, with the club currently second in La Liga, behind only Barcelona.
While Antoine Griezmann has been a standout performer for the club, Molina's performances have not gone unnoticed.
