The Rockets lost via penalties to Stellenbosch FC at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday despite having taken the lead in the first half through Lehlohonolo Mojela, whose early striker was cancelled out by Ismael Touré in the second half.
Galaxy had beaten Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu en route to the final, and their impressive run remains something to savour for Ramovic.
"Congratulations on a beautiful ride until now. If you see how many great teams we have in our league, and to stand with a new club, that is still building itself, in the final is just a beautiful thing," said the Bosnian tactician.
"When I saw how many supporters came, I never thought I'd see so many of us here. Yes, we were close to [winning] it, but we did not.
"But my players are, for me, champions – great guys, great players, and I would also like to congratulate the opponent [Stellenbosch], it's a great club and they have a fantastic coach."
The focus now switches to the DStv Premiership for Galaxy, who are desperate to move away from the relegation zone before the six week break enforced by the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
"We can be proud of ourselves, and we are, but now we have two more games [for which] we have to be prepared because we belong higher up on the table," he added.
"But we have to deserve it, so we have two more [league] games in front of us and now we have to forget this [cup final defeat], but not forget our beautiful ride because not many players will reach a cup final in their lives."
