Ruben Amorim backs himself to transform Man Utd into title contenders

Ruben Amorim, the newly appointed manager of Manchester United, has declared his belief in his ability to turn the club's fortunes around.

The new Red Devils boss expressed his confidence when asked at his first press conference about turning the club around.

"I'm a little bit of a dreamer, I believe in myself. I believe in the club, we have the same mindset," said Amorim.

"I truly believe in the players, I know you don't believe a lot but I do. I want to try new things. You guys don't think it's possible, I do.

"We need a lot of time because it's a tough league, we have to improve a lot to try to win the title."

"If you want to speak about the team and the way we play, we lose the ball too often. We have to be better at running back and we have to be very good in the details.

"It's the small things, we have to improve the small things. Understanding the small things, I think is what I'm good it."

Amorim has wasted no time settling into life at Old Trafford. During his first week, he toured the iconic stadium and met with staff from various departments, quickly acclimatising to the demands of one of the world's most prestigious football institutions.

While some players were away on international duty during his initial weeks, Amorim has expressed confidence in the squad's potential and readiness for the challenges ahead.

The first test of Amorim's tenure will come on Sunday, when Manchester United take on Ipswich in a Premier League fixture.

Fans are eager to see how his innovative approach will translate onto the pitch as the club looks to rebound from a challenging period.
