Sizwe Sibiya praises young TS Galaxy Queens for Banyana Banyana call-ups

TS Galaxy Queens coach Sizwe Sibiya is happy that two of his young players will get to experience football at the highest level, after receiving Banyana Banyana call-ups.

The Rockets goalkeeper Dineo Magagula and defender Yomelela Jacobs will join the national team camp ahead of the two international friendly matches against neighbours Lesotho on 22 and 25 February at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Sibiya believes a chance to represent South Africa is the highest honour and adds his players should seize the opportunity and give it their best.

"Look, getting recognised as a player to represent your country has to be the highest honour, and it's something that I don't think any player who plays football says, 'I don't want to be called for the national team,'" said Sibiya.

"Then it means where they play, their mother teams are not going to give what you would call 100 percent dedication, commitment, and give their all because, if you get recognised with a call-up, it means you have been consistently performing well and giving your all.

"And it becomes very difficult or tricky for anyone not to see your talent, I always say, when you play, don't worry about who says or does what, just give your all and someone with a good eye will see and recognise you.

"For me, I think getting called up for the national team has to be the highest honour."
