When Muzeu came out in the mixed zone and spoke to SABC Sport after the game, he was carrying his bible and this was just moments after that beautiful assist, which led to Namibia’s first-ever win at the AFCON in more than 25 years.
The Black Leopards striker, who idolizes his fellow countryman and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile, on the power of the bible.
"It's all about God, it's all about God, trusting God, have faith in Him, He will deliver in ways we need Him mostly, he will deliver," Muzeu said.
Muzeu had spoken to SABC Sport early last month to look ahead to this AFCON, after playing a big role in Namibia’s highest achievement yet in the history of this tournament, he shares what coach Colin Benjamin expected from him when he was brought him in as a substitute.
"Yes, we talked we did have a conversation me and you and I said we are underdogs and we will deliver where we need to deliver. I came in and did what I had to do for the team and for the nation. The coach said 'Go there and do what you do best' and I did. I'm proud of myself and I'm proud to be a Namibian," Muzeu added.
A leading goal scorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with 10 goals, Muzeu, who plays for Black Leopards says their next target if possible is to win this AFCON tournament.
"We want to do what we have to do. We came for one thing, it's to play AFCON and then win it. If it's God's will, we will do it. Such an honour to be part [of the squad] and to win our first game as a Namibian. I'm so proud of myself."
