The talented Prins Tjieuza not ruling out a PSL move

He’s been hailed as the next best thing in Namibia football after the Brave Warriors captain and leading Mamelodi Sundowns marksman Peter Shalulile, exciting midfielder, Prins Tjiueza has not ruled out a move to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

At the ongoing 2023 Africa Nations Cup (AFCON), Tjiueza has proved his level in this tournament, amongst some of the top football names on the continent. In the past, the 21 year-old has been linked with Mamelodi Sundowns and nothing materialized out of that, and he now thinks this could be the time.

''That's a tough question but for the PSL you never know, it depends on the kind of offers I might receive. Yes there has been  contacts with my agent but right now I'm just focusing on the tournament and doing good for the country,'' Tjiueza said.

He was a handful against Bafana in that midfield, with a total of 32 touches in this game and five passes into the final third - he showed his mettle in the attack, despite the 4-0 drubbing. He felt that they were second best in almost all the departments in this game...

''Yeah, some of the players we definitely expected them, we work them out and that's why the first-half we played better compared to the second-half but I think it's just the matter of maybe on the day it wasn't ours,'' added Tjiueza.

Bafana Bafana also changed their tactical application in this game against Namibia and were more direct as compared to the opening game against Mali where they lost 2-0. Tjiueza says they were not entirely surprised by the game plan.

''I think they are a bit stronger than me because I'm a bit smaller. I think technically they're also good they know how to cover those spaces, and I also think I had a better game compared to the first match."

Playing in the no.10 role, he was always going to find it tough to get going, playing around Bafana’s midfield kingpin Teboho Mokoena and the tough Sphephelo “Yaya” Sithole.
