Exactly three years after FIFA first complained about the South African Football Association's (SAFA) lack of focus on preparing its junior national teams for international competitions, the SA U20 national team has been without an international match for two years.
As the assembled national U20 men’s team’s first camp heads toward the end, Amajita head coach Raymond Mdaka believes that now they are starting to see their team shaping up.
Amajita will face Namibia this afternoon cognisant of their limited chances to proceed to the knockout phase and earn a spot at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) U17 tournament in Cairo, Egypt in March.
