Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe has hinted that the continental football body is ready to endorse Morocco’s joint bid with Spain and Portugal to stage the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe has reiterated his main goal at the continental football body is to leave it in a healthy financial state, and believes the mooted African Super League (ASL) is key to achieving that target.
Key industry stakeholders have welcomed the R150-million donation made by the Motsepe Foundation for school’s football, African choral, and indigenous music as well as netball.
The fight between Algeria and Morocco for the heart and soul of African football is just starting and will continue after both nations launched bids for the hosting rights of the 2025 Afcon finals.
