Sithole, who was a regular in the midfield alongside kingpin Teboho Mokoena, is currently plying his trade in the Liga Portugal 2 for C.D. Tondela.
But SABC Sport has learned that there are already clubs in the Turkish Super League sniffing around for Sithole’s services, and he maintains the initial move to Tondela was a good call.
"Obviously, because I went to Tondela with the aim of getting game time so that I can be able to come here, which I did," explained Sithole.
"I think me going there helped me a lot because it's a well-known club in Portugal that was playing in the first division for so many years, and now they are fighting for promotion.
"So I think me going there helped me and that's why I'm here, because I was playing each and every game for Tondela."
Nicknamed ‘Yaya’, after AFCON-winning former Côte d’Ivoire captain Yaya Toure, he also talks about the importance of a strong management team to ensure he gets good offers from big European clubs and leagues.
"It's very important, of course, because, firstly, people need to understand that I'm in a foreign country. So, if you're in foreign country, other teams take advantage of that, especially if you're a very good player and you're young," he added.
"So, to have a good agent or person who's going to look after you in that manner is very, very important. I always had [a good agent], but the [club] president I was dealing with last time was a very difficult person, but ja."
