The second-tier log leaders face their nearest rivals in the title race Orbit College on Wednesday in what could give them a nine-point lead, should they come out with a win, before they travel to Tshwane to Leruma United before the FIFA break.
Following their relegation in June 2023, as Maritzburg United, the club rebranded and relocated to Durban with a fresh vision to bounce back, and Dladla feels they are close, especially now that they are out of the Nedbank Cup.
"We are pleased about that, but we are ready, we are going to give it our best, starting on Wednesday, and of course on Saturday," said Dladla.
"We have a certain target, I'm not going to reveal that – please don't ask me about it, but we have a target and we have kept to that target from the first game to where we are now, so there's no reason to doubt that we'll [succeed]."
Dladla remains wary of getting ahead of themselves and puts a particular emphasis on first making sure they get past Orbit College.
"We have to win this game and stretch the lead, it's not going to be easy. We're going to face another team like [Marumo Gallants], a team that's good on the ball," he added.
"We'll have to work very hard without the ball, but also use the ball better – I don't think we'll face the same quality on Wednesday because [Gallants] is a team from the higher division.
"I believe Orbit could be hurt if we do things right, and I also believe they can hurt us if we don't look after the spaces because I'm sure they will have majority of the ball, but for us it's about results now and not [playing] a beautiful game."
