Matsatsantsa suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sekhukhune United on Sunday, a fixture played four days following a 1-1 draw against Polokwane City.
Hunt knows with log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns preoccupied with the AFL his side could have capitalised.
"It's disappointing because we could have opened up a gap and we should have won both these games in Polokwane but it is what it is. You know with our squad of players, we've done well, we've done great. You look at Sekhukhune's budget, you look at us. So, we've done great so far. We've got to keep going that's all we've got to do," Hunt said.
SuperSport had taken the lead through striker Terrence Dzvukamanja in the first half, only to allow Babina Noko back into the game as Elias Mokwana and Chibuike Ohizu got on the score sheet to hand the hosts all three points.
Hunt says they were exposed, especially with a thin squad.
"As I said, you gotta score when you get the chance because we didn't score then the game opened up then we chased it and then it looks like they break out all the time. It is what it is, we've got to take it on the chin, that's it," Hunt added.
SuperSport now go into the FIFA break in second place, a point behind Sundowns – but the Brazilians have an incredible four points in hand.
The coach couldn’t get over the lack of firepower on Sunday.
"Should have been 2-0, 3-0 then the game would have been over then it could have been manageable. We couldn't have to chase it then they get their second then it was a big deflation, wasn't it? I still haven’t seen it. So, yeah I'm disappointed and then we chased it, we tried to chase it and then the game opens and then they get a few breakaways."
