Chippa managed to hold Golden Arrows to a goalless draw at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, as the final round took a huge twist that saw Marumo Gallants suffer automatic relegation and Maritzburg United fall into the play-offs.
While basking in the joy of avoiding the drop, Seema acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his future after managing just one win in the four games since his re-appointment last month.
"I still need to understand the way forward," said the former Orlando Pirates defender, who was previously relieved of his coaching duties at Chippa in December 2020.
"As long as I'm involved in football and can contribute where needed, I'll be content. Hopefully, there's a team out there willing to give me a chance as a head coach for a single season, and together we can strive for greatness."
Seema expressed gratitude to his players, acknowledging the immense challenges they faced throughout the season. "Even when I joined, it was evident that they were mentally drained. I want to commend their resilience.
"This was a momentous day for the residents of Eastern Cape and all the devoted Chippa United fans. When the match commenced, we knew we were placed 15th and had accepted our destiny.
"After the outcome against TS Galaxy, we had already come to terms with the playoffs. Once we learned about Maritzburg's result, we knew that securing a single point would be enough to advance. So the message was simple: let's not lose this game if we can't win it," concluded the 42-year-old tactician.
