The 26-year-old will play the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign in the Bundesliga after making just two appearances for United this season across all competitions.
"I enjoyed the first few days. It's a very good team. Everyone welcomed me well and I've had some very nice conversations. I am happy and excited to be here," said Van de Beek on his new challenge.
"I already knew the club, it's a big club. The style of play was also very important to me. Of course every player has their own personal goals, but I'm here to help the team and play at my highest level.
"I am firmly convinced that Frankfurt is a good place and the right place for me. The past is the past, I'm here now and I'm in a very positive mood."
The Dutchman further opened up on his preferred role, also sharing how he was fully fit and available for selection under coach Erik Ten Hag, despite missing out on playing minutes.
"Eight or ten are my preferred positions. I've played at six in the past, but I see myself most strongly as a box-to-box player," he added.
"If the coach puts me on the field, I'll of course be ready. I'm fit, I trained hard in Manchester. I feel good. Of course, you also need match practice to get to your best level."
On the quality he'll be surrounded by in Frankfurt, he said: It always helps when you play with players who have achieved a lot and have experience. You see them in training every day, which promotes personal development.
"I've seen a lot in football now and hope to be able to pass on some of it here."
