The Mamelodi Sundowns frontman is obviously well known to all the Bafana players and poses a significant threat alongside fellow frontman and Orlando Pirates forward Deon Hotto.
It was Hotto who earned his side a shock 1-0 victory over Tunisia in their Group E opener on Tuesday, for their first ever AFCON win - as South Africa suffered a 2-0 reverse to Mali.
And ahead of Sunday's eagerly anticipated encounter between the two neighbours, Shalulile says he can't be happy unless he is on the scoresheet, having missed a number of chances at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium.
The two-time DStv Premiership Golden boot winner told iDiski Times: "Glory to God first and my teammates, my coaches - being a captain is not easy because everything is on your shoulders.
"You could see the chances I've missed, I thought that if those guys get a win the blame is on me. But the grace God has given me to captain this side is something that I don't take for granted.
"It's a happy day for the Namibians, it's a happy day for us we made history and on to the next one."
Shalulile added: "It was not easy, they had some chances, our keeper was amazing. We had some chances, in another day you get punished.
"That's why I told the coach I'll work on my finishing. I'm a striker and I need to score goals. Today, I got a few chances and I didn't score."
