This marks the team's first match at their iconic home under new head coach Ruben Amorim, who took charge earlier this season.
"It will be special, but it will be more special if we win," Amorim told MUTV.
"So that's the goal, but it's a special moment in my life, in our staff's life, and I hope it will be the beginning of something very beautiful."
Determined to improve after last Sunday's 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town, the manager is targeting a decisive win to bolster United's standing in the group.
On the pitch, the Reds are boosted by the return of Lisandro Martinez, while Luke Shaw could also be in contention to feature.
"Licha is ready to play. Harry is returning. That's a good thing," Amorim said when asked about team news.
"Leny Yoro is improving his fitness. Luke is healthy. So let's see if he plays in the starting XI or not. We will see. But with all the squad, we are stronger. It's normal. So we are ready to go."
Amorim stressed the importance of taking a no-nonsense approach to the match, acknowledging the need to secure points in the competition.
Amorim also shared his thoughts on how he anticipates Bodo/Glimt will approach the game, recognising their tactical strengths.
He urged his players to focus on their strategy and maintain composure in front of the home crowd.
