Matsatsantsa plays their first game in the group stage of the inter-club competition against Modern Future in Egypt tonight, and Hunt told SABC Sport some of the youngest players in the squad would now be part of the core.
"Our young players are gonna have to grow up very, very fast and learn very quickly. I think it's a great platform for them to play because I know in the long run, they will be better off players. I mean, I've always done that where if you play younger players and play a few and get a great experience then the rest is history," Hunt said.
The challenge for Hunt this season in fast tracking these players to first team football has been efforts to strike a balance between their careers and school, the most noticeable example being winger Shandre Campbell.
"The club is very big on education, very big on pushing these players to get some sort of good education. Which we gotta have in structure, where the players live so they get pushed to achieve good results and Shandre to be fair has great marks in his school and he's a good student. From my side I need him to be a good football player," Hunt added.
SuperSport have a conveyor belt of emerging talent with Campbell joined by Ime Okon, Jabu Matsio and Keenan Bezuidenhout in the senior team.
Hunt has been given the task to improve them.
"They all coming and they right under that surface now to break through because we can't be judging players on one or two games. We need to judge them over a season but I mean we need to give them a start somewhere and they are at the right club because that's really my mandate and our mandate. What we gotta do is produce young players and try to make better teams."
