The 23-man squad sees a surprise call up of Sage Stephens of Stellenbosch FC joining Sipho Chaine and Mzansi’s number one Ronwen Williams in goals.

Broos left out Mamelodi Sundowns striker Themba Zwane who is suspended due to injury on domestic front - replaced by Mihlali Mayambela of Aris Limmasol FC, joining Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng and Thapelo Morena of Mamelodi Sundowns amongst the eight forwards.

Broos’ charges last played in October in their back to back Group Stage matches against Congo, with a 5-0 win at home and a 1-1 draw away in Brazzaville.

The national team now carries pressure to secure maximum points in their upcoming matches against Uganda and South Sudan to guarantee their place in the 2025 AFCON.
